Why did it take the surrender of a majority of the British troops for the Crown (the king and Parliament) to finally end the struggle and give the colonists their freedom? Your assignment today is to watch the brief videos that have been posted in the Videos section of the course. After watching the videos, choose one of the questions I mentioned above and answer it in, at least, two paragraphs. You will also need to respond to two of your classmates. I think that Great Britain had been unable to subdue the colonists because the colonists had realized the extreme ways in which they had been exploited by Great Britain. The levying of unnecessary taxes, the making of lives of the colonists more difficult, etc. had brought the downfall of Great Britain from the protests of the colonists. The unalienable rights of the colonists had not been considered and therefore they had been deprived of their rights. There had been innumerable attempts made by Great Britain to make the colonists do and work according to the wishes of Great Britain.
